Electronic Engineer

We are looking for energetic and experienced hands on Electronic Engineer to join our Engineering Department. As a member of our Electronics and R&D team, this role is responsible for software embedded design, technical support and prototype mechanical/electrical assembly and testing which include the technical support of OEM Manufactured goods, testing of devices, assembly of prototypes, negotiation of pricing with vendors for parts for prototype units and maintaining accurate documentation and procedures. The successful candidate will be experienced in electrical applications; such as digital electronics and design and software language, measuring tools, hand and power and soldering tools and have advanced troubleshooting skills. It will be necessary to liaising with both our R&D department and the electronic assembly department to ensure our customers' needs are met.

Production Coordinator: Purchasing
Available: Immediately

SMI is looking for a self motivated and experienced Production Coordinator to join our Purchasing Department. The successful candidate will be experienced in purchase order entry, working with manufacturing schedules, ordering materials to meet production, maintaining stock inventory and customer support combined with a good telephone manner. Liaising with both clients and suppliers alike to ensure our customers' needs are met and their expectations exceeded.

The role will include facilitating the needs of Manufacturing production schedules by; coordinating inventory levels, processing purchase orders, liaison with shipping, building strong relationships with suppliers and all the clerical functions involved in the production coordination.

• Knowledge of the BV systems an asset
